Summer is the best season.
Even if you aren’t a fan of the hot weather, you cannot deny that summer is so much more fun because of the multitude of activities and events that are held during the warm months. There’s always something to celebrate or somewhere to go.
While we aren’t ones to ever turn down an invitation for a good time, the age old “but what do I wear?!” question plagues of often (at least once a week, if we’re honest!).
So we thought we’d put together a little summer outfit guide for you if you’re looking to make the most of the remaining days of summer and plan on heading out as much as possible in the next few weeks!
Winery Weekend
Summer is the best time to head to your local winery for a long lunch and a few glasses of wine. It’s one of our favourite ways to spend a warm weekend and also the perfect reason to get a little dressed up!
The beautiful floral print on the Samantha dress makes is perfect for a day spent amongst the vines. The tie up back keeps your look fun, but the flattering midi length is absolute class.
Hen’s Party
Okay, we can’t be the only ones who are inundated with hen’s party invitations in the summer, and we aren’t mad about it because it’s so much more fun to party in the summer than in winter!
Our pick for the perfect hen’s outfit is the Mellie dress.
This form-sitted style is sexy, but the midi length still keeps things classy. The shirred fabric also makes movement easy, so you can dance the night away without ever feeling restricted by your dress!
Bridal Shower
Yes, a bridal shower IS different to the hen’s!
Bridal showers, sometimes also called a kitchen tea, tend to be more formal affairs that often include the bride’s extended family (and increasingly, her in-laws family as well).
You want to be appropriately dressed for the occasion, but still be wearing something suitable in case the girls decide to head out for drinks after, and the Ellington dress is the perfect option.
Summer BBQs
The best part of an Aussie summer?
Without a doubt, the backyard BBQ’s with your family and/or friends!
Wear the Amira dress for easy, breezy, casual vibes. Loose fitting so you can definitely have that extra bit of potato salad and shoes completely optional.
The best part is this dress is put together enough so that if you decide to head out for sunset drinks at your nearest bar, you won’t even have to get changed!
Garden Walk
Okay, maybe spring time is better for heading to your local gardens to see the flowers in full bloom, but there’s just something about a warm summer’s day that always makes us want to go outside and do something, even if it’s just a walk in the park!
We love the Kristen because the fabric is light, breathable and comfortable. This is also an easy style to pair with sneakers, so you’ll get maximum comfort and Instagram photo opportunities! A perfect #skirtsizzleOOTD moment!
Fringe/Festival Time
We’re headquartered in Adelaide and our favourite time of the year is Fringe; when everyone gets dressed up and heads out to dinners and shows!
If you live in Australia, the early part of the year is centred around numerous outdoor activities! From outdoor cinemas to music festivals, and of course, the Fringe!
We love the Naomi dress for Fringe/Festival time because it strikes the perfect balance between dressy and casual.
It’s a style you can pair with strappy heels for something a little fancier, but we can also see this being dressed down with a leather jacket, biker boots and a cute hat!
Also, if this fun print doesn’t scream Fringe/Festival, we’re not sure what would!
